Musical Rambles

About

Izzie G, a film composer, beatmaker, and producer, was born prematurely at 26 weeks, resulting in underdevelopment at birth. As a result, he required placement in an incubator set at the highest level of oxygen, which ultimately led to the detachment of his retinas and legal blindness. Despite the challenges of visual impairment, his passion for pursuing a musical career remained unyielding. At the age of 6, he began playing the keyboard and singing, followed by the bass and drums at 9 and 10, and the guitar at 11, with additional skills acquired over time. Izzie’s musical instruction was primarily self-taught due to informal guidance from family members, church musicians, teachers, and friends, all provided on their time. Izzie attributes his drive to pursue music to the power of expression. He believes music to be a potent means of self-expression. Whether listening or creating, music has the potential to communicate one's emotions and thoughts effectively. Music can heal, motivate, enlighten, and above all, create a connection. Izzie aspires to be innovative in his musical expression, challenging conventional norms in the process. Currently, Izzie is actively pursuing a career in music and film scoring, driven by a desire to connect with audiences through his unique sound. With a focus on creativity and innovation, he is constantly exploring new ways to express himself through music. He continues to develop his skills, seeking out new opportunities to grow as an artist and reach new audiences.
